Most of CONNOR’s training classes are held in house, however off site private classes are not uncommon either. In the winter of 2004, the company has launched its first webcast session, thus allowing the training courses that don’t require hands on activities and strict exams to go across state borders.

On-site training classes are designed for individuals and companies who are concerned about lead-based paint regulations, mold or asbestos issues and have at least 10 people that need training. Our accredited and experienced instructors insure that the information and the technical training you receive is accurate and specific to your concerns. CONNOR can conduct all training sessions on-site at your property or at another convenient location near you.

Sustaining our innovative training techniques, CONNOR launched its first webcast training session in January 2005 with a high success rate. It is an ideal solution to training multiple staff members at once. Our qualified instructors present this live, interactive training program. The training is shown via the Internet and the audio portion of the session is being held simultaneously via a toll-free call-in telephone number. Throughout the training, participants have the opportunity to ask questions, participate in exercises and interact with the instructor.

No special equipment is required to participate. You need a PC, internet connection and a separate telephone line.

We have constructed a new, state-of-the-art training facility, specifically designed for teaching environmental courses. The layout and design of the 3,300 square-foot, 48-student capacity CONNOR Training Center incorporates high technology with the functionality of a true-life living space. The comfortable waiting area, the high-tech classroom setting with overhead LCD projectors, whiteboard and tables for small group projects make the learning experience a unique one.

The mock apartment, the first of its kind to be incorporated directly into a training facility, was designed to enhance the hands-on activities that are crucial to the content of some of our training courses. A variety of component types and substrates were selected to allow the instruction to cover a broad range of possible circumstances encountered during inspections and everyday life.

Supplies for XRF testing, dust wipe and paint chip sampling as well as HEPA vacuums are provided during the inspector and risk assessor courses, mold and lead-paint components in the mock apartment make the hands on training as similar to a real life experience as it can be.
